If you’re looking for a new band to give a listen, We Banjo 3 is coming to the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art on Friday, March 8. We can almost guarantee that you’ve never heard anything like it before. Their self-proclaimed “Celt Grass” genre pairs melodies of traditional Irish music with modern-day bluegrass, creating a sort of indie vibe. Two pairs of talented brothers make up the group; one member was even the first Irish banjo player to grace the stage of the Grand Ol Opry! They’re traveling the United States all the way from their home base of Galway, Ireland, and it’s pretty cool Hartford is a stop on the list.
Tickets are $25 for members of museum and $30 for nonmembers. The concert will kick-off at 7:30 p.m. but get there early to claim your seat and grab a drink from the cash bar that opens at 6:30 p.m.
