The Mark Twain House & Museum is a local landmark we’ve all been to a time or two, but have you been there for an event yet? While the museum is entertaining in itself, the events calendar is extensive and has a little bit of something for everyone.
Their 2016 Family Series offers monthly events for all ages. October’s event is a magic show on Oct. 29, and Nov. 5 highlights Tanglewood Marionettes producing the show “An Arabian Adventure.” Both are followed by an activity or workshop for youth attendees and their parents. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids.
For adults the variety of options is even more extensive. Nov. 10 boasts a presentation by Mark Twain House employees and historians called “Mark Twain and American Presidents,” which includes a free reception and lecture. They also have a “Mark My Words” series, where authors present their works, “The MOuTH” series with WNPR’s Chion Wolf, and much more!
