The streets of Hartford will be transformed into a Caribbean paradise on August 6th this year for the Taste of the Caribbean and Jerk Festival. The festival, now in its 11th year, aims to showcase the food and culture of the Caribbean!
From 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. you can peruse craft and food vendors, learn from master dancers, listen to talented music artists and more. The headliners hail from all over the Caribbean, with performers like Jamaican reggae artist Luciano to Barbadian jazz saxophonist Elan Trotman. If the spirit moves you after listening to all those Caribbean beats, they have a travel tent where you can explore and book vacations to all sorts of mind-blowing Caribbean destinations. Then, after eating all the jerk recipes in sight, move along to the health pavilion to learn how to get in shape for summer. If you’re bringing kids, they can enjoy all sorts of activities at the Children’s Village. From face painting to a talent competition, bounce house to jewelry design, and more. There's something for everyone at this all-ages event!
